Geelong AFL Masters Trek 2023,

DAY 5 - EFOGI

Update from the track - Day 5

Update from the track - Day 5 - Efogi

The crew are all trekking well!  The Kokoda Track is extremely challenging at the best of times, they have caught the tail end of the wet season and are experiencing plenty of rain, humidity and a slippery muddy track, adding to the challenge.

After a long couple of days trekking the crew have arrived at Efogi for morning tea. They have enjoyed many beautiful river swims. Everyone is having an awesome time and are all up for the challenge.

Today they will visit Brigade Hill the site of a desperate battle fought by Australian troops in 1942, to hold the advancing Japanese as far north of Port Moresby as possible

Tonight they will arrive in Menari, with wood fired pizza on the menu.
